RUBY BEAN | Theresa Samson Women's Business Leadership Award

Ruby’s leadership is a powerful example of what it means to lead with purpose, compassion, and impact. As Vice President of Advancement at Community Concepts, she plays a critical role in strengthening programs, securing resources, and building partnerships that support individuals and families across Maine. Her collaborative approach and strategic vision have helped guide organizational growth, expand services, and bring people together around a shared mission. Her work and passion demonstrate her commitment to ensuring women are not just present, but truly heard.

In moments when leadership matters most, Ruby rises to the occasion. Following the tragic events in Lewiston in October 2023, she was instrumental in launching the Maine Resiliency Center, working tirelessly to ensure critical support systems were in place for those affected. Her commitment to community extends even further through her role as an educator at Central Maine Community College, and her board work for organizations like YWCA Central MaineAuburn-Lewiston YMCA and Kaydenz Kitchen Food Pantry.

LEONARD KIMBLE | Ken Addition Economic Development Champion

Leonard is redefining what economic development can look like in Lewiston Auburn, blending business growth with culture, connection, and creativity. As the driving force behind Great Falls Comedy Club, he has created more than a venue - he’s built a community hub where relationships are formed, ideas are shared, and people come together. Through consistent programming, partnerships, and tireless promotion of the region, Leonard is helping to fuel both economic activity and community pride.

From hosting weekly shows and signature events to collaborating with fellow Chamber members, local businesses like Craft Brew Underground and Lost Valley, and supporting local talent, Leonard’s impact extends far beyond his stage.

In a region working hard to attract and retain residents, businesses, and young professionals, cultural amenities matter. Great Falls Comedy Club has created a cultural anchor in downtown Auburn. His work increases foot traffic for neighboring businesses and positions LA as an emerging destination for arts and entertainment. Whether he’s mentoring local comedians, engaging national talent to perform in our state, amplifying local businesses, or quite literally making space for connection, Leonard leads with energy, generosity, and vision.

JENNIFER TINER | Leading Through Change Award

Jennifer’s leadership during times of uncertainty has been a strong example of clarity, steadiness, and compassion in action. While guiding Lewiston and Auburn Adult Education through a period of heightened concern related to federal immigration activity, she remained calm and focused on the needs of both students and staff. By quickly establishing clear communication channels and safety protocols, she helped ensure learning continued without disruption, turning a potentially destabilizing moment into one grounded in purpose and stability.

She also demonstrates a deep commitment to meeting the evolving needs of adult learners, continuously adapting programming to reflect changes in the community through expanded HiSET support, increased ESL offerings, and workforce-aligned training developed in partnership with local employers. She actively listens to staff, students, and community partners to ensure programs remain relevant and responsive. What sets her apart is her balanced leadership style—combining confidence with empathy—supported by transparent communication, an open-door approach, and consistent weekly updates that provide clarity and reassurance while reinforcing a culture of trust and connection.

TYLA & KEITH DAVIS | Heart of the Community Award

You’ve likely seen them at local favorites like Burnt Ends BarbecueCraft Brew UndergroundThe Blue FeatherNutty Netties Cafe, Melissa’s Pub & GrillMel's Hilltop Restaurant, and so many more!

Tyla and Keith have strengthened the social fabric of our region. Their events draw hundreds of people each week, encouraging residents to explore new places, support small businesses, and build lasting connections. And behind it all is a genuine passion for this community - one rooted in gratitude, generosity, and a belief that giving back matters.
