Meet our Presenter: Joseph A. Purington President and CEO

Joe Purington was appointed President and CEO of Central Maine Power (CMP) in September 2021. As a Maine native, Joe spent his early career at CMP where he served in a variety of different roles including Director of Distribution Operations. In 2014 he joined Eversource New Hampshire, becoming President of New Hampshire Operations in 2020. Purington earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University and his associate degree from Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute. He is actively engaged in his community and supports organizations and non-profits across Maine.
