LA Arts Reception and Artist Talk: “Inside Vision: An Outside Exhibition of Inside Art”

The public is invited to a reception and artist talk for our current exhibit, “Inside Vision: An Outside Exhibition of Inside Art,” on Friday, April 11, 5:30 – 7pm at the LA Arts Gallery in Lewiston, ME. 

Featuring poetry and visual art by residents in Maine’s prisons, the exhibit presents a diverse and complex portrait of those behind bars. During the reception, Chris, one of the incarcerated contributing artists, will share his story live from the inside via Zoom. The event will include a facilitated discussion and audience Q&A.

The traveling group art show, co-curated by Olivia Hochstadt along with the Maine Prisoner Advocacy Coalition (MPAC), runs through May 9.
