BIPOC Business Needs Assessment Symposium

Wednesday, June 17, 2026 (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) (EDT)

Description

Join us on June 17 | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM USM Lewiston Campus (in-person)

What is Maine missing when entire communities of entrepreneurs remain underestimated, undercapitalized, and under connected? Join business leaders, policymakers, funders, researchers, and entrepreneurs for a first-of-its-kind symposium unveiling findings from the BIPOC Business Research Project. Grounded in data and shaped by lived experience, this event will move beyond surface-level conversations to examine the systems, relationships, and decisions that influence who participates fully in Maine’s economy.

Partnership & Power: Pre-Symposium Leadership Session June 10 | 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM Virtual (Live on Zoom) The most important conversations are often the hardest to navigate. This interactive pre-symposium session is designed to prepare attendees for meaningful participation in a room where perspectives, experiences, influence, and institutional power will differ.

Together, participants will explore practical tools for building trust across difference, engaging challenging feedback productively, and creating the conditions for honest collaboration and forward movement. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up. If you still need to register, its not too late.

Please RSVP by 4 pm on Tuesday, June 9, by visiting https://rbresearch.wufoo.com/forms/z1mpuey90muixr8/

For those attending the June 10 online event, Zoom information will be sent late in the day on Tuesday, June 9. Please let us know if you have any questions.

We look forward to seeing you at these important events! Best, Krystal Williams Richard Bilodeau President Director Providentia Group Maine Center for Business and Economic Research
