The degree programs offer an array of courses, internships, research and community service, and study abroad opportunities. LAC is primarily housed at the University of Southern Maine s Lewiston campus. This modern, environmentally friendly campus complex fosters a supportive, close-knit college atmosphere with access to all of USM s extensive scholastic resources. The Lewiston campus has deep roots in the Lewiston-Auburn area, opening its doors 1988 at the urging of community members throughout Androscoggin County. It provides access to: Senior College; USM s Franco-American Collection, which specifically focuses on the LA area; the Druker Office of Community Engagement; and the Atrium Art Gallery, which offers distinctive exhibitions of local and national artists year-round. The Lewiston campus also offers conference facilities and room rentals, including Wi-Fi and other technological needs, which are open to the public.
