About Us

Maine Museum of Innovation, Learning and Labor preserves and celebrates extraordinary stories of work and the industrial ingenuity of Central Maine.

The museum features engaging gallery exhibits, programming, and events for all ages that explore how life, labor, and culture shape the present and influence the future.

Located in Lewiston, Maine, our unique collection of salvaged manufacturing machinery and artifacts, archival photographs, and oral histories reflect the rich heritage of the region and historical prominence in the textile, shoe and brick-making industries. Diverse perspectives and experiences expand these offerings, creating a space for discovery, creativity, and connection.
