The 2022 World Refugee Day (WRD) will be held at Simard-Payne Park in Lewiston.
WRD is an international day designated by the United Nations to honor refugees around the globe, celebrating the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution.
The Lewiston-Auburn World Refugee Day will honor essential workers - those who helped each and every one of us make it through the COVID-19 pandemic thus far and continue to help us survive in big and small ways each day. Dr. Shah will be the keynote speaker at this year's event. Come celebrate Lewiston's diversity at this free event with food and festivities.
