Supervising People: Essential Skills for Leaders’ Course Offered at Central Maine Community College Course begins April 5 The Center for Workforce & Professional Development at Central Maine Community College (CMCC) will offer a five-week course on “Supervising People: Essential Skills for Leaders,” on Fridays, April 5 to May 3, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. This course is designed to identify effective leader characteristics, performance issues and difficult employees. Learn the skills needed to address the difficult issues and improve team productivity. Teaching modules include an introduction to leadership, communication 101, performance coaching, handling difficult employees, and teambuilding. Individuals attending should be currently supervising or managing individuals and/or work groups and wish to develop their leadership capacity. Those who are new to supervising as well as more seasoned managers are encouraged to attend.
