Energy Listening Tour

The Maine State Chamber and The Nature Conservancy are interested in learning about business leaders’ opinions about energy in Maine to better understand perspectives on energy as markets and public policies continue to evolve.
The sessions will last 1 ½ hours and will be moderated by a professional focus group facilitator who will follow a structured set of questions to understand:
- Participants’ attitudes towards energy sources,
- Perceptions of the costs and benefits of energy sources,
- Sensitivity to price of energy,
- Views of current and proposed public policies related to energy, and
- Differences of opinion about various resources including wind, solar, hydropower, and biomass.
Participation limited to:
- Maximum attendance: 12.
- Small to medium for-profit business owners, CEOs, presidents, and senior-level staff with significant decision-making authority to engage a representative sample of the small to medium-size businesses whose voice is not typically heard in the energy conversation at the state level.

Parking is available in the parking garage just before our building. We do not validate parking. There is limited on street parking, but it is for 1 hr increments only. Additional parking is available across the street in the Kaplan parking lot.
