Mind Your Business: Negotiations, the Big Deals and the Everyday
Mind Your Business: Negotiations, the Big Deals and the Everyday
This course is targeted toward people who need to convince others and who have others trying to convince them: To listen, to buy, to participate. In short, everybody.
This workshop will provide participants personal negotiating strategies, approaches and tactics that are easy to understand and practice.
The design of this workshop addresses people as they really are, and proposes activities that are neither demanding nor intimidating. You work with what you have, and gently adapt it according to clear ideas about how to get more of what you want from yourself and in your relationships. Your workstyle, behavior, listening and speaking habits, initiatives and response in involving others all become powerful negotiating practices with a little attention. There also are tips on how to integrate continuous attention and improvement into your daily routine.
Brought to you by the Association for Consulting Expertise, this seminar will be led by Jim Milliken of Jim Milliken Consulting.
Jim has been working with people for 30 years to identify and overcome the barriers and issues that get in the way of personal productivity, harmonious collaboration and effective innovation. The specific skills most prominently include those of time, risk and process management; listening, speaking and conversation management; team leadership ad conflict management. He works one-on-one, in the workplace and in classroom settings in real-world contexts.
