Over the past few years, collective need seems to have increased exponentially. Calls for help dealing with anxiety, depression, insomnia, despair, loneliness, and overwhelm grow louder every day - and while we all hoped the pandemic would end with a clearly defined moment, instead we continue to bear the residual effects of a world gone through the wringer. People are grouchy and sad and tired. Beyond that, as women (who so often assume the role of caretaker), many of us have been asked to hold even more space for our loved ones. This is a quick but raw talk on the realities of increased need. How do we - and should we - meet the needs of our work, families, friends without sacrificing our passions and clarity of spirit?
