LA Metro Chamber September 9th VIRTUAL Breakfast ~ Arts as an Economic Driver
Join us in September for a look at how the arts act as an economic driver. With increased investments into and visibility of public art in the region over the last few years, more attention is being paid to how arts and culture benefit the local economy. Our two speakers together represent more than 18 art institutions and organizations in the region, all who saw significant changes to their operations in 2020.
While the enhancement to the quality of life coming from arts and culture is widely known, the economic ripple effect of the arts and creative economy is less understood. Listen to our speakers cover other sectors impacted, the economic benefits of arts and culture, and information about our local arts and culture as an economic driver.
Presenter: Janet Mitchko, Co-Artistic Director of the Public Theater, and Chair of Arts and Culture LA, Jim Parakilas, James L. Moody Jr. Family Professor of Performing Arts, Bates College, and LA Arts Board Chair
