LA Metro Chamber of Commerce & Uplift LA October Business After Hours at Good Shepherd Food Bank!!
Please register and join us on Thursday, October 17th for the LA Metro Chamber and Uplift LA's Business After Hours hosted by Community Credit Union & Maine Credit Unions at the Good Shepherd Food Bank! Community Credit Union joins multiple credit unions throughout the State of Maine each year to support and promote ending hunger efforts in our local communities. October is Ending Hunger Month for Maine Credit Union’s and we will be celebrating their work and partnership with Good Shepherd Food Bank and other entities across the State. In 2018 alone, participating Maine Credit Unions raised a new record total of more than $792,901 for the Ending Hunger Campaign bringing total campaign dollars raised to over $8.5 million.
As the largest hunger relief organization in Maine, Good Shepherd Food Bank provides for Mainers facing hunger by distributing nutritious food to more than 400 partner agencies across the state, including food pantries, meal sites, schools, and senior programs. Together with its network, the Food Bank leads a statewide effort to combat the root causes of hunger by engaging in advocacy, nutrition education, and strategic partnerships. In 2018, the Food Bank distributed more than 25 million meals to families, children, and seniors in need throughout Maine.
We look forward to you joining us at the food bank. Due to safety reasons, we require you to wear closed toe shoes.
