LA Metro Chamber June 13th Breakfast ~ Reimagining Healthcare: Insights on a Changing Healthcare Landscape
Ken Albert, President CEO will reveal the next chapter for Androscoggin Home Healthcare + Hospice, as well as the challenges and opportunities Maine faces as we navigate the changing healthcare landscape. While overviewing what we can expect on the horizon of healthcare, Ken will help guests understand WHY the changes are occurring, and the impacts we can begin to plan for.
During this breakfast the Chamber will recognize its annual scholarship recipients from all seven area high schools, as well as the Chamber Employee and College4ME Adult Learner Scholarships.
About Our Speaker: Ken Albert, President and Chief Executive Officer for Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice
Ken Albert is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice. Prior to his appointment in June 2016, Ken served as the Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Director for the Division of Licensing and Regulatory Services within the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. Prior, Ken practiced law for several years in Maine specializing in health law, professional licensing, and regulatory and compliance law.
Ken's background is rich in medical experience, including seventeen years of clinical practice in emergency and intensive care settings. During that time, Ken served as Director of Emergency Services at Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC), as the Administrator of the affiliated Occupational Health Center, and as the Site Manager for LifeFlight of Maine. Additionally, Ken spent five years as a traveling critical care nurse working in metropolitan, rural, and tribal communities across the United States. He also served for several years as an adjunct faculty member at New England College where he taught Legal Issues in Health Care Administration.
Ken was elected to the National Association for Home Care & Hospice in 2019 and again in 2021, where he now serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors. In addition to his service with NAHC, Ken serves on the Board of Trustees for the Maine College of Health Professions, recently stepping down as Chairman after serving in that role for four years.
