HR Thursdays ~ Workplace Safety OSHA Records, Reporting and Best Practices
This webinar will provide a general overview of required OSHA written programs, training, and OSHA Recordkeeping. Based on workplace exposures, OSHA has several required written programs that an employer must develop, implement, and maintain. Employees need to be trained on those programs and other potential training requirements and documents. Review OSHA illness and injury recordkeeping rules, which includes what is recordable and when does an injury need to be reported to OSHA. Ending with how SafetyWorks! can you in developing an effective safety and health program and other resources we offer.

Dawn McKenney is Consultation Program Manager with the Maine Department of Labor, Workplace Safety & Health Division, SafetyWorks!. The SafetyWorks! program administers consultation and training programs known as 21(d), 23(g) and Mine Safety and Health. Ms. McKenney has been with SafetyWorks! since 2001. She has successfully completed many OSHA courses and is an authorized OSHA trainer to issue 10-hour and 30-hour course completion cards for General Industry, Construction, Shipyards, Maritime, and Longshoring. Ms. McKenney has an Associate Degree from Mid State College.
HR Thursdays are presented in partnership with the LA Metro Chamber, Central Maine Human Resource Association, and the Lewiston CareerCenter and offer employers resources and tools to help gain a competitive edge. Presenters will share best practices with businesses owners, HR staff, and hiring managers in order to create meaningful recruitment, training, and retention strategies. HR Thursdays allow participants, whether employers of one employee or 1500, to gain the information needed to survive the labor shortage while giving tangible, and usable, tools and resources.
