About the Presenter
Michael Malloy is an Auburn lawyer devoted to serving the individuals and organizations working to build a better Maine. After eight years practicing at medium-sized firms, where he represented some of Maine’s largest private employers and municipalities, Michael recently embarked on a longtime dream and launched The Malloy Firm as an independent practice based in Lewiston-Auburn, with a statewide reach. He currently serves as City Attorney for Auburn, and advises a number of public and private sector clients on business and human resources matters.
A frequent presenter on HR matters, Michael is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Androscoggin County Bar Association, for which he serves as Vice President. Michael volunteers his time and expertise on behalf of a number of community nonprofit organizations. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star for the past 3 years, and has been recognized by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court as a Katahdin Counsel. In 2017, he was recognized by the Chamber as part one of L/A’s 40 Under 40 for his “activism and commitment Building LA.” He is an honors graduate of Suffolk University Law School and of Middlebury College.
HR Thursdays: Best Practices for Businesses with Employees
HR Thursdays are presented in partnership with the LA Metro Chamber, Central Maine Human Resource Association and the Lewiston CareerCenter and offer employers resources and tools to help gain a competitive edge. Presenters will share best practices to businesses owners, HR staff and hiring managers in order to create meaningful recruitment, training, and retention strategies. HR Thursdays allow participants, whether employers of one employee or 1500, gain information needed to survive the labor shortage while giving tangible, and usable, tools and resources.
