HR Thursdays ~ Understanding Personal Style
Session 2: Understanding Personal Style
Understanding, appreciating, and valuing the differences in personal styles among people is a daily
challenge for everyone, and knowing your personal style is an important step in understanding
others. In preparation for this session, you will be asked to take a Personal Style Inventory that
provides useful insight into how you think and behave based on Carl Jung’s theory of personality.
Understanding how you are energized, how you prefer to gather information, how you make
decisions, and how you approach life provides you with the tools needed for personal growth and
development and for understanding others. Beginning with a focus on how you are wired will help
you understand the dynamic of your personal style. It also provides you with an understanding of
how your personal style interacts with the styles of others and what you can do about that. This
session requires participants to take the Personal Style Inventory and do some preliminary work in
the Brightspace course prior to the virtual Zoom (or live) session.
