HR Thursday ~Using Job-Shadow and Intern Programs to Hire hosted by the LA Metro Chamber
Join April Clark, a 38-year veteran of staffing and HR, and Kay Kerina, Program Manager for the Maine Career Exploration Program (MCEP) within the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, for an insightful webinar on connecting local organizations with new talent through the Maine Career Exploration Program.
April has developed numerous partnerships with the State of Maine and local companies, effectively bridging the gap between workers and work experiences. In this webinar, April and Kay will highlight opportunities for both for-profit and non-profit organizations to access MCEP funding. This funding can be utilized to engage young workers through 75-hour work experiences, helping organizations build a pipeline of new talent.
Participants will:
-
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Maine Career Exploration Program.
-
Learn practical steps to participate in the program and secure funding.
-
Discover how to leverage these opportunities to benefit their organizations and the local workforce.
Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your company's talent acquisition strategy and support Maine's young workforce!
HR Thursdays are presented in partnership with the LA Metro Chamber, Central Maine Human Resource Association, and the Lewiston CareerCenter and offer employers resources and tools to help gain a competitive edge. Presenters will share best practices with business owners, HR staff, and hiring managers in order to create meaningful recruitment, training, and retention strategies. HR Thursdays allow participants, whether employers of one employee or 1500, to gain the information needed to survive the labor shortage while giving tangible, and usable, tools and resources.
