HR Thursday ~ Performance Management hosted by the LA Metro Chamber
A deep dive into the use of performance appraisals by world-wide corporations clearly indicates that they are not just nifty instruments and flashy graphs, but critical to an essential performance management process. Supervisors and management both grouse about filling out appraisals for good reason- there's an inherent conflict between honest evaluations, development coaching and rewards.
Our attorney's beseech us --for good reason -- to conduct thorough evaluations. Frankly, it's unwise to conduct business without them. Grabbing a jazzy new form isn't the answer. It's not the form-it's the process that counts.
In this workshop we want to get real. We will look into contemporary performance appraisal research, examine appraisal approaches taken by top Fortune 500 corporations and get down to the nitty gritty of what your corporate goals are for evaluations and approaches that meet your strategic needs.
