Film Screening & Discussion: The European Union Explained
The Camden Conference and the Auburn Public Library invite you to a film screening and discussion of the documentary, The European Union Explained. Key topics will include the history of the European Union, the EU institutions, and arguments for and against. “Conceived as a noble cause, to prevent another war in Europe, the EU has become embroiled in controversy. But what is the EU? How does it work? Should we love it or hate it?” For our planning purposes, registration is required. To register, visit the events page at www.auburnpubliclibrary.org or email dwallace@auburnpubliclibrary.org The Camden Conference was founded in 1987 as a nonprofit, non-partisan educational organization whose mission is to foster informed discourse on world issues. The 2022 conference “Europe: Challenged at Home and Abroad” will take place February 25-27, 2022, and will be entirely virtual, live-streamed from Camden, Maine.
