One Lewiston Community Vigil

Coordinated by the City of Lewiston, LA Metro Chamber, and the interfaith community, this vigil invites community members to grieve together, and to pay respects to those impacted and for our communities. 

The program will last approximately an hour, with a reception directly following inside and outside the church. There will be prayers from multiple faith leaders and music. 

Out of respect for the community, there will be limited space inside the Basilica for members of the media. When we confirm plans, we be able to provide a live feed. There will be no media interviews inside the church at any time. Press inquiries can be directed to AAmores@lewistonmaine.gov 

There will be therapeutic support provided directly following the vigil in the lower level of the church. Therapy dogs will be in attendance for those who wish. 

Lisbon Imam will be a speaker at this evenings vigil; we welcome all Muslim brothers and sisters to attend.

There will be accommodations for overflow seating outside, and live stream will be available at the following links. We anticipate additional live streams will become available, and this event page will be updated regularly.

• Registration is not required, but by registering below you will receive updates to any changes in the time or location, should they be necessary.
• ASL Interpreter Provided and Live Streamed,
• All live streams are accessible, and closed captioning and interpreters are provided. 

LOCATION: 122 Ash Street, Lewiston Maine 04240

PARKING: Parking will be available at the Oak Street Garage, 1 Oak Street, Lewiston. Entrances are located on Ash and Park streets. There will be handicap-accessible parking and a drop-off location for those with mobility issues at the Horton Street Parking for the Basilica. Signage will direct you, as will volunteers.
NOTE: Bartlett Street will be closed at College Street and Ash Street.
