Burnt Ends Barbecue 1 Year Anniversary and Ribbon Cutting

The Cunningham’s are a local couple who have a love for good food, and entertaining. Kevin Cunningham, (co-Owner) has been in kitchens his whole life. He’s been the Chef of many establishments including Marche Kitchen and Wine Bar, Macs Grill, The Brunswick Hotel and Tavern, and The Royal River Grill House. Jill Cunningham (co-Owner) is the Director of Information Technologies for the City of Auburn and a longtime Chamber supporter having been one of the board members of Uplift’s predecessor YPLAA.

Their love of food and entertaining lead them to open Burnt Ends Barbecue. In their first year the restaurant won Down East Magazine’s Best New Restaurant of 2022. They run the restaurant on two simple premises, “Don’t Serve Shit” and “Be a Good Human” They feel that if you just do those two things, everything else will work itself out.
The goal is to have multiple employee-owned locations and a robust catering operation. They feel this is the best way to grow and support their team, their families, and the community.
