DESCRIPTION:The L/A Repair Caf is an event where community members who like to fix things come together with those who have broken things to reduce waste\, save on cost\, and promote repair culture in our community. Repairs Offered: -Clothing & Textiles -Knife & Tool Sharpening -Lamps & Small Electrical Appliances -Wooden Furniture & Other Wooden Items A maximum of one broken item per person will be examined at a time. Participants with additional items for repair may join the back of the line for each additional item. Not all repairs will be possible and Repair Caf Volunteers may refuse to repair certain objects at their discretion. Participants are expected to transport their items into and out of the Repair Caf themselves. Please contact the library with any questions. This event was made possible by funds received from the Natural Resources Council of Maine Sustainability Grant.
