Read ME Book Discussion: Mill Town
READ ME BOOK DISCUSSION -- “Mill Town: Reckoning With What Remains” by Kerri Arsenault Read ME is a statewide summer reading experience, sponsored by the Maine Humanities Council, in partnership with the Maine State Library. Each summer, two books are chosen, and this summer’s program features "Mill Town" by Kerri Arsenault and "Mainely Power" by Matt Cost. Both books are recommended by Gerry Boyle, author of the Jack McMorrow mystery series. The Auburn Public Library has selected "Mill Town" as its summer read, and books will be available for pickup at the Reference Desk anytime after June 7. Registration is required as space is limited. There are three ways to register: Go to our webpage -- www.auburnpubliclibrary.org -- and click the Events tab; call the Reference Desk at 207-333-6640, ext. 4; or email dwallace@auburnpubliclibrary.org. Book discussions will be held on June 24 and July 12, both from 4:30-5:30 p.m., via Zoom. The Zoom link for the discussions will be emailed to participants on June 24. (The link will be the same for both discussions.) The author talk by Kerri Arsenault will take place on July 15, from 6-7 p.m., also via Zoom. Registration info for this event will be announced at a later date. The Auburn Public Library also has copies of "Mainely Power" available for checkout. The author talk by Matt Cost will take place on August 19, also from 6-7 p.m., and registration info will be forthcoming. For more information on this or other upcoming programs offered by the Auburn Public Library, visit our website or our Facebook page (Auburn Public Library Advocates).
