Auburn Public Library Indoor Farmer’s Market
The Auburn Public Library invites all ages to one of their biggest family events of the year. Join us on February 24th from 4:30 – 6:30 PM for our annual Indoor Farmer’s Market. This family event includes lots of great vendors with a culinary delight of homegrown and homemade foods and treats, plus live music, crafts, animals, and exhibits. Vendors will make your mouth water with their assortment of homemade breads, jams, chutneys, canned vegetables, root vegetables, and of course some wonderfully delicious baked goods. Stroll around more and pick up some great handmade scarfs, hats, mittens, or natural skin care products. The festive event also features live acoustic music by the Aaron Wardwell and homestead demonstrations such as basket weaving and embroidery. An interactive display on Maine Fiber Arts will also be on hand. In the children’s department there will be a fun activity as participants discover how Mother Nature moves seeds allowing new plants to grow. Kids can build their own whirligig and learn how wind is critical to the planting of seeds. Children will be able to come in the room from 4:30 – 6:00 PM to make their whirligig of discovery. Don’t forget to bring the kids into the Grand Reading Room to pet the live animals. The Auburn Public Library’s Farmer’s Market is free to the public and is one way the library thanks all our community members and community businesses for their wonderful support.
